Referencing subform fields

I have a subform - Orders_subform with 9 controls on each row.
let's call them field1 thru field9
How do I reference each row at load time ? is it in an array somewhere

Say I have 9 rows returned from the record source sql.
How do I reference those rows in visual basic ? Bob Schmid
