I have an application in 2003. The application works fine on 2 of 4 computers. These other computers look to be set up the same way. What is happening is when i try to open a form that has references ( [Form]![frmsubtabs]![frmtest]![ContID] ), it gives me a enter parameter field. It only happens on the 2 computers, works fine on all the rest. i'm not sure if this is a setting in access or if it is a microsoft bug and i don't even know where to start googling. any help is appreciated.

Is "[Form]!..." a typo? It should be "[Forms]!..."

Parameter often means a typo, btw,

It is forms, sorry that was a typo on tek-tips. I thought it was a typo also, but how would you explain that it works on some computers and doesn't work on others.

Are both pairs of PC's running the same version of Access?

Have you checked references?

I've seen this article before, i have the correct code in there. Like i said, it works on some machines, so it seems to be a settings problem or a Access 2003 problem.

Forms!frmsubtabs!frmtest[!].Form[/!]!ContID

Hope This Helps, PH.
