Hi all,

I have one report that continues to return an application error and was wondering if anyone else had encountered this problem and if so what can I do to cure it.

The error is as follows:
----------------------------------------------------
DDE Server Window: MSACCESS.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x77fcc641" referenced memory at "0xbfffff8".
The memory could not be "read"

Click OK to terminate the program
----------------------------------------------------

Again, this error only happens with one report. I have deleted, remade, renamed, and changed the way the report gathers it data and still I get this error.

I'm running Windows 2000 with office 97 and the database resides on the company server (I even tried taking the database and putting it physically on my machine to no avail. I have taken the database home (Windows 2000 and office 2000) and everything flows smoothly after conversion. I even tried making the report on 2000, converting to an earlier version - again to no avail.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.........

Hi,
You may want to compare your references between the two machines. When building a new database, Access only provides the "bare-bones" references, and these usually aren't enough to get the programs working correctly.
