Hi everyone,
I am having issues with references in a MS DB I created. I recently upgraded from Access XP to Access 2010, and now the users (who are on Access 2007) are getting a compile error: "Can't find project or library." The program works fine on my computer. We never had this problem when I was using Access XP and they were using Access 2007. The line that gives the first error (.specialeffect = sunken) has been in the code a long time, and never given an error before. Could somebody please explain what is going on and how I can fix the problem on my end (I do not have access to the user's computers, and it would not be practical to try and add references to all of their machines manually)?

Many thanks,
Collen

Since this forum deals with VBA code, is there any chance you could post your VBA code?

I don't know what object property you are modifying, but I get these kind of errors on other machines when I am using a control that is not included with MS office when installed. In my particular situation, most often the error occurs I like to use a certain date picker that I download from MS. Any machine I run that code on has to have that control downloaded and installed or the code will produce an error just as you described. In the case when you are using a newer version of excel to write your code, you may be using a control that was not included in earlier versions, or a newer version of a control, and that can cause the same issue and error. It also has the same solution; download and install the newer control on the computers that have the older software.
