reference not found error

right im a bit stuck heres the problem

i have taken this right back to basics and started a new console app project and done the following steps:

added refrerence to Microsoft Outlook 11.0

added "using Outlook:" to the code

and i get "the type or namespace 'Outlook' cannot be found"

I have tried outlook and Outlook but still the same, also double checked the refrernces and its there.

totally stuck now any suggestions greatly accepted

Hmm, the same thing happens on my machine. I can't add reference of Outlook namespace with "using".

However, you can still use the objects, only with full qualifier (eg. Outlook.Application app).

But, it would be nice if someone can explain why this behaviour.
