Reference a temporary table or stored procedure

I have a canned report from a new system (Mas500) that uses Crystal for its reporting. One report, a pick ticket, references a system temporary table to print by sales order number all items that should be pulled from inventory.

I need to insert a subreport at the bottom that lists all backordered items, since we will use this as the packing list in the box. I need to compare the qty ordered with the qty on the pick ticket in the report. For example, if the customer ordered 10 of item 1234, and we have 6 in stock and backordered 4, I need to have "6" in the order-pulling section and "4" in my subreport. If we had none in stock, I need to list "10" in the subreport.

Problem is that since the picking process references temporary tables, I can't figure out how to access them. The tables it claims to be using for "qtytopick" field are all blank when I try to reference them.

It has been suggested that I write a stored procedure to access the temporary table, and I see *how* to reference a stored procedure. But I have never done this in Crystal, and I'm not sure what exactly it is using (output variables? it allows me to choose input and output variables). On top of that, I've never had to reference a temp table, either.

Can someone point me to some help in this? All I need is to simply subtract the qty ordered (which I know) from what printed immediately above....

Thanks....
