Probably very easy, but I could not find it in the online help or a thread covering this.
But, how do I refer to a parameter in my selection that is not ad-hoc.
Example
table1
client_id
client_name
table2
order_no
order_date
I want to create a report that when a user selects a client from a drop down list, I have a formula that looks at the text in the drop down list and refers to the client id in the first table. This will allow me to enter the text of the client in the drop down list in a format of my choosing and check the selection from the user, then hopefully refer this to the client_id in the table.
Does this make sense??
