I know you can have redundant fans and power supplies. But I was told even though there is a slot for a 2nd hard drive it cannot be used as a raid or backup. Is this true?

And be careful with the redundant fans. Nortel was shipping BCM400 fans that cause a bogus alarm ("Fan has stopped for more than one minute" type alarm)..

Nortel is aware of this, but never posted a bulletin, although the Tac Engineer I worked with new immediately about it..

Thanks for the info. I haven't had any false alarms yet. Hopefully they gave me the correct one
