Hi there,

I am really new to Quark and have finally completed my first image that is for print. My problem is that when I save as an EPS CMYK with pictures attached(100Kb), then image is over 10MB.

Please can someone explain step by step(or direct me to a Step-by-Step guide) on how to save a QuarkDoc economically.

Also, I have been told I can supply the image as a 300dpi jpg. How do I convert a Quark Document to a jpg of the above characteristics.

Thank in advance.

Regards,

Brad

Brad,
when you supply to pre-press for output (print) you do not supply a Quark eps.
You supply the Quark document as a collect-for-output onto a cd or similar.
Plus, a Quark eps is a postscript file. All information is contained therein, except founts. This file cannot be opened in Photoshop and viewed as a 300dpi file, but it IS hi-res!
