Reducing a filesystem

Hi *,

I have read on the IBM site that from AIX 5.3 we can reduce the size of the filesystem dynamically. Has someone tried this? If so, are there any precautions to be taken.

I've done it lots of time on different fs even with oracle working on it. It works fine.

The only precaution you have to take, is not to shrink your fs smaller than working temporary files. You should investigate before.
