Reduce file size by shrinking document v. X Pro

I have X Pro and have a pdf that is 400MB. I want to upload this to issuu.com but the max file size is 100MB so I need to reduce it down, the problem is that it is 61 pages.

Is it possible to reduce the actual size/dimensions of the pdf to reduce the file size? Viewing at 100% the pdf is about 1000px tall, it can quite happily be 600px tall but I can't find an option to do this.

Can anyone help/make any suggestions?

Have you used the Save as Reduced Size PDF in X Pro ?
Is the document all text, or does it include photos, or B/W graphics (Engineering drawings)?

Another way would be to split the document into parts that meet the 100MB criteria, and name the files so that it's obvious that they all fit together - parts A, B, C, D, etc. But first try to compress it, using the Options in Acrobat Pro X - when you do File, Save As, and choose Reduced Size PDF, you get several compatibility options - give them a try. Also,if there is text in the document, let Acrobat OCR the page with Text - that can also reduce the size somewhat.
Graphics pages can sometimes be reduced by Saving as JPEG 2000 (which will give you individual JPF files for each page), and then creating a new version of the original file from the JPF's. Sometimes this will give you a 10X reduction (with engineering drawings) but sometimes you'll actually grow it. You have to experiment.
