Hello,
I have two routers connected to a vlan, which also has a firewall connecting the network to the Internet. Both the routers and the firewall are running RIPv2.
Now, one of the routers has a static default route pointing to the firewall interface. That router is also reditributing that static route into RIPv2.
For some reason, I dont see that route being advertised to the other router, connected to the same vlan, the default route is pointing to. It is though sending it to rest of the routers on other vlans.
I am beggining to think that for some reason it is assuming that the peer router has a direct connectivity to the vlan, the default route is pointing to, and therefore not sending it to the peer. Am not sure hence want to confirm this.
Following is a rough depict of the scenario:
------------------------R1-----------R2

R1 - static default route; redistributing it into RIPv2.
R2 - getting the default route
R3 and R4 - not getting the default route
