Redirection

Hi all,

I have a home page

http://servername.com

However, when people visit this homepage i want them to be redirected to

http://servername.com/start/

I have tried ProxyPass

http://servername.com

http://servername.com/start/

and
Redirect

http://servername.com

http://servername.com/start

in apache config but these dont work. any ideas what i'm doing wrong. Thanks for your help

Hi,

For Redirect you need to have mod_alias active. You would just do :

Redirect /

http://servername.com/start/

or

Redirect / /start/

I've tried this but the server goes into a repetitve loop and then finally crahses when the request uri becomes too long for the server to parse.

Have no idea why it does this.....
