looking at folder redirection

i dont want to point to specific servers as we have lots of wan links. ideally want to default to h:\ as this is the users home drive

i notice ms say
Folder Redirection is only able to process two environment variables: %username% and %userprofile%. Other environment variables such as %logonserver%, %homedrive% and %homepath% will not work with folder redirection.

can it process h:\ or what do people utilise

In Group Policy Management with a new GPO, under User Config and Folder Redirection, if you right click and select properties and use Advanced as the setting, you can specify it to the users home directory, so as long as you have each users home directory setup for their particular site I think that would work just fine since assumedly again you are mapping their drives to their own local servers.

that is correct - but it likes ms want to shove you down a bindery route
what do you specify though h: doesnt seeo do it
and %homedrive% is unsupported

god only knows why

still need to test more though - just tried for a few mo's
