redirection between ttys

How can I redirect the text to another tty window?
I have two dtterms that I run the "tty" command and get their names. One is /dev/pts/8 and the other is /dev/pts/9.
in /dev/pts/8 I am doing a telnet to a given host and from /dev/pts/9 I want to send the commands.

Any suggestions?

You should be able to do this with a named pipe.....
