We have been talking with a provider regarding implementing SIP trunking.

Can the 3300 ICP v9.ur1 redirect incoming SIP calls when the SIP Trunk license count on the 3300 ICP has been reached?

For example, we purchase 50 SIP trunks for our organization containing 3 sites. According to our traffic study, we license 10 SIP trunks at site A, 15 SIP trunks at site B and 25 SIP trunks at site C.

Can the 3300 at site B be programmed to redirect the 16th incoming call to either site A or Site C and have the 3300 at site A/C return the incoming call to site B via the MPLS?

Or do you think that the SIP provider should be the one handling the call routing when the 16th incoming call is reached at site B?

Thanks

Ron

The inbound traffic as you have described would have to be programmed on the service provider. This would be the same for any trunk provider.
