Hi all, There is most likely a very easy answer to this but I'm having a brain fade, so if you can answer this or at least point me in the right direction you can have my first born, or a star,......... most likely a star....
Anyway I have a new admin person who has taken over two jobs and thus gets email for two different address, ie. admin@abc.com and jane@abc.com as an example...
She would like mail to be sent to separate folders in outlook under her inbox so any mail that comes in addressed to admin goes to a folder called admin and any mail addressed to jane goes to a folder called jane.
Now i know i can set rules so that if you get mail from a certain person it goes to a certain folder and i'm sure you can do it to separate mail form anywhere too but for the life of me i just can't remember how to do it.
So Is it possiable? and can somebody please explain how or point me in the general direction to find an answer( and yes i have googled it but again just can't seem to find the right answer)

It's outlook 07 by the way
Thanks you one and all

Regards
Max

From within Outlook 2007:

Create 2 new folders under Jane's inbox - Jane and Admin

Go Tools ->Rules and Alerts
[ul]
[li]Click on "New Rule..."[/li]
[li]Under the section "Start from a blank rule" select "Check messages when they arrive" and click "Next"[/li]
[li]Check the box next to "with specific words in the recipient's address"[/li]
[li]In Step 2 (bottom of the Rules Wizard window) type in the recipients e-mail address, e.g. jane@abc.com. Click on "Add" and then click "OK". Click "Next"[/li]
[li]Check the box next to "Move to the specified folder"
Once again go to Step 2 and click on "specified", select the folder, and click "OK".[/li]
[li]Click "Next" and specify any exceptions.[/li]
[li]Click "Next" and name the rule, turn it on, and if desired select the option to run it on items already in the Inbox.[/li]
[li]Click "Finish".[/li]
[/ul]

Repeat the above for a rule for Admin.

Hope this helps.

Let me guess, you were using "with specific words in the sender's address". That's an easy mistake. I made it when I was testing the rule before posting too.

I hope you get things working the way you want them.
