redirecting cout or an ofstream to cout

Wow. I've really been hitting this page lately, haven't I?

I was wondering if anybody knows how to redirect cout to a file or to assign an ofstream (?) to cout, so that I can adjust a program's output when I lift the h files &c. into a form-based application.

Any help is very very appreciated.
