redirect

i've got a beculiar problem with a redirect. with firebird it works without problems but the IE wont do it.

i do a metrefresh with following link:
ftp://univers@ftp.univers-werbetechnik.ch

it just wont recognize the username, if i copy the link directly into the adressbar it works but as link it doesn't work ether.

I think that functionality was disabled in the latest IE versions for security reasons. How FF can still do it and be far more secure than IE is beyond me.
