SX2000 with NUPoint. When some extensions go unanswered, instead of the call being directed to the voice mail for that extension, we want it to be directed to the voice mail for another extension. The users do not want to use Call Forward or Do Not Disturb. Using Call Rerouting Number, I can get the unanswered extension to ring on the target extension, but it never goes to voice mail.

Is there another solution?

If you want EVERY call to that DN to go to a different mailbox, set up a Rotational mailbox for the dialed DN, then place the desired destination DN in Dist. List 01 of the Rotational MB.

There are a couple of other methods as well depending on your application.

Broadcast MB: Allows for a unique greeting to be played and then the message will be copied to Dist List 1 members. (uses FCOS bit 120 I think)

Mirror MB: Uses FCOS bits (somewhere 170's-180's) to broadcast the greeting and name of the original to members of dist list 9 and used broadcast to copy the message back. Essentially creates a duplicate mailbox that does not need to be managed.

For eithre of the above setup Autodelete of messages after 24hrs via Lcos.
