Redirect user to click your google link

I have read that your page rank is improved for specific keywords when user search for a term then click on your link.

My question is what if I make a link on my site that is something like "Click Here To Support Us". Then scan through the google search results with my chosen keywords untill my website is found, then redirect the user through the generated google link back to my website?

I have a feeling that the search engines will detect what is going on and penalize (if not blackball me) for doing this as I can not be the first person to think of it (although in an honest way).

My next question is, if the search engines will hit you for this, what is stoping me from doing it from another website to my competitors (Not that I would)? Wow, this is deep, eh?

Because it's rubbish. Total speculative drivel by "someone" reading a two year old patent and assuming is must be fact.

There is only one thing that can affect PR and that is links. Not that the PR as shown on the toolbar is of any use.
