I am on an 81C Nortel switch using OTM from the desktop to access all the overlays.

My question is, can I redirect output from the command line to a file? This would be particularly useful for checking status in LDs 96 and 60, and other maintenance routines.

I know I can highlight the output to screen and copy and paste into Notepad, but I would like to simplify the process for those routine tasks.

I beleive the system is written in Unix, so I'm wondering if the usual Unix redirects will work. I just don't feel comfortable experimenting with the company's PBX.

Thank you.

If I understand you correctly, you're probably using the Overlay Passthru method of accessing the overlays on the TM server or TM client. If so, there is a capture feature that you can invoke from the Overlay Passthru menu that allows you to capture all input and output to a file on your computer.
If this is not what you're doing, then disregard.
