My company outsources for domain services and I want to create a DNS A record to redirect to another server. So I want to create something like... example.domain.com and have that redirect to a website that is is there a way to do this? I have the https server ip adddress but it does not work because of the encrption.

You'll want to set up a basic web server on example.domain.com and have it redirect visitors to It could even be done on the same server using virtual hosts.

That way the browser will use home.domain2.com and the SSL will work without warnings.
