Hello,
I been reading post's about the Nam and a problem with the Auto Attendant not transfering calls to the ext. The redirect dn patch has come up as the culprit on several occasions and i'd like to know:
What is the Redirect DN patch and where would i find it to change it?
Can it be changed on a 7310 or do i have to use a lap top?
I only recently started working on the Nam, so i'm not up on all the functions and features. This is really a GREAT forum.
Thanks,
Gabriel

The patch is a boot floppy that turns off the redirect DN feature in the NAM. Just stick the floppy disk in the NAM, and perform a restart. After you hear ascending tones, pull out the floppy disk, pull the power cord for 10 seconds, then plug power back in.

If you are familiar with Remote Utilities you can also login to the NAM with Voicemail Manager and turn off redirect DN manually.

The latest release NAM software R4.1 (and I think R4.04E) are already patched for the redirect DN problem.

If you need the files to make the patch disk send me an email.

Redirect DN Patch NAM
Something I just found out that may be useful....
Remember how we have that problem with MICS5.0 and NAM4.0? The one where you need to install a patch into the NAM to have call that were transferred from the AA or CCR to a phone to forward to the personal mailbox?
Well, you can fix the problem without having the patch.
If you have an internal modem on the NAM and call into it using Norstar Voice Mail Manager in your NRU software, go to OPTIONS tab and go into SYSTEM PARAMETERS. It will come up and about half way down you'll see Redirect DN set to yes, it should be set to NO.
That's it. Problem fixed.

One last thing, do you know what versions have it, and is there a way to check which version i'm working on?
