Hi

We use pl/sql packages to interact with an 8.1.7 db, and every now and then it replaces question marks in owa_util redirect_url statements with ':1'. The package is valid in PL/SQL still (the :1 basically being html), and although you can compile the packages having subsituted a "?" and in DBA studio (as an example) the question mark is shown, when you refresh the package, the :1 keeps coming back.

Anyone any ideas - apologies if previously covered, but I can't find anything under these search terms.

Kind regards, Sid

For anyone who find the same thing, I have now tracked this down to how much other code is previously in the procedure. For some reason, DBA studio was substituting a :1 for a question mark when there were 10 table updates before the redirect (owa_util, but it also did the same thing with an htp.print).

I moved the redirect_url statement to the beginning of the procedure and it works fine.
