redirect a pdf?

Greetings,
I am new with using PDFs, and I need help. I have a website that uses asp code.
First the user logs in using my asp page.
Then they go to data entry sheet.
Then they go to a pdf download page.
Is there a way to make the pdf not accessible unless the person comes from the second page? Right now, the pdf is password protected, but that is not enough. The customer needs the users to use the sequence. As it stands, they can type in the url:

http://www.whatever.com/mypdf.pdf,

and bypass all steps. Thank you in advance.

There are way too many ways to accomplish what you want depending upon the webserver you are using, of which this question would be better asked in that type of forum. Try forum41 for Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). Just be prepared to include more information in your question. Version of OS with sp's, Version of IIS with sp's.

(sp's Service Packs, Critical Updates, Service Release etc.)

You can require the pdf download page displays only if the referring page is your data entry sheet. I am only familiar with PHP but this should be as easy to do in ASP.
