Redirect a directory to another server

Hello,

I have a website running under say,

http://www.website.com.

I have part of this website on another server, reason being it requires coldfusion to run.

How can I make

http://www.website.com/directory

look to another server to find the content?

Put this in your httpd.conf

RedirectPermanent /directory [URL unfurl="true"]http://otherserver/[/URL]

Just tried it out and it does indeed redirect. However, would it be possible for the URL to stay as the intial URL and not change to the redirect URL.

You would really need to use a framed re-direct to do that.

No, not really. You could work around it by creating a script that fetches the URL and outputs the page. //Daniel

hmmmm,

It all depends what is actually being used on the other server.

Using 2 servers interacting with each other is a very bad idea when one server is running a little slow, because both
then slow down.
