RedHat Linux; Interbase useing ASP. User name and password problem.

I have a Cobalt RaQ 4 server, with RedHat Linux installed. I am using the InterBase database engine. I am connecting to the database using ASP. The problem is that even though my ASP specifies the correct username and password I still receive this error: Your user name and password are not defined.
Any help on this please?
