All,

I'm preparing to install RedHat 7.3 to my machine which has Windows 2000 as the primary OS. I have reserved 6Gb for the installation.

Are there any hints/tips to use when installing?? E.g. I have read about a lot of problems when booting with two OS's. Also, things like creating the Linux partitions.

Thanks in anticipation,

Carl.

you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever. i have the exact setup running on one of my machines. i have grub as the bootloader which you can set which os you want as your default. should not cause any problems for you.

as far as the partitions go you can let RH auto configure them for you and it will do it in the empty partition without any intervention from you and won't mess with the win2k part.

it's easier than you think.

AngerDriven,

Thanks for your help. I was a bit hesitant with the boot loader but it sounds like i shouldn't have a problem.

Cheers,
