Hi ALL,
I was looking into upgrading Redhat ES 2.1 to ES 3. My background is mostly with AIX but we started using Redhat last year. I was shocked to find out there is no migration installation or upgrade path from 2.1 to 3. The only way to accomplish this is to do a new install and migrate the data.
If Redhat wants to play in the Enterprise it's going to have to mature a little more first. Our servers are just Web Application servers (1U servers) but how are people doing upgrades with huge databases?
Does anyone use any other Enterprise Linux products and can provide a different distrobution that does have an upgrade path?
thanks in advance,
