I have a IBM p-server and I installed SuSe 10 SP2 & Redhat 5.2 on different hard drives.

Currently, I set RedHat as the default booting system. If I booted from this Redhat, it would go smoothly. However, if I booted from SuSe through a console terminal, I can see Redhat is booting up automatically which is expected. But it hangs with this error message:

boot: root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVo100 ro console=hvc0 rhgb quiet
please wait, loading kernel...
root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVo100:2,/vmlinux: unable to open file, Invalid device
boot:

To make it proceed, all I need to do is to hit the enter key. Then everything looks normal to me.

Could someone here tell me why it is hanging and how to fix it? Many thanks!!
