We are experiencing the four penguins during the boot of our IBM Open Power 720 running Redhat Advanced Server. Is this a particular sympton of something bad? It just sits there. Don't know why. Usually the penguins are there for a couple minutes then the system completely boots. Any clues??
Thanks
steve

I figured out the problem, It's been a year since I had to work on this system so I just forgot. The #1 serial on this machine is the main console port. The graphics card installed is console #2, secondary. That was the only console I was looking at. So the reason it was just sitting there with the penguins was console #1 was waiting for input. There was a corrupt file system. Once I put a console on that port, I was able to repair the file system and the machine booted, thus allowing console access to console #2. Arghh!!!!
