I've installed redhat 9 + webmin + squid. When I log into webmin, I can see a lot of options under squid section. I am a totally idiot in unix/linux, so I really don't know what to do next in order to setup my proxy server. What I have is modem-router-proxy-hub-users. I have 2 network card, one set to 192.168.0.x and one to the router. Now how do I continue? I've read all the documentation but I am sitll not sure how do I proceed. Please advise me and kindly be as clearer as you can as I really know nothing...
Thanks a lot in advance for any help.

Gee Blue great post next time try reading the post (especially the part where ansonng states "I've read all the documentation") before you flame. Ansonng just for clarification (I dont want to assume) is the RH9 machine being used as the router in your config.

Blue,
So basically you dont have a clue as to how to help this person, but you have the time to flame them. Great thanks for your valued input.
Ansonng,
Make sure you have your routing set-up correctly on the machine. Open Webmin go to Networking and select routing and gateways. Make sure the nic that is addressed as 192.168.0.x has the external nic listed as it's gateway. The external nic will have the routers ip addy listed as it's gateway. Select yes for act as a router. Save config. Have your clients use the 192.168.0.x address for their gateway. This should allow them to connect to the internet (as long as your router and modem are setup correctly). Once they can connect to the internet, then use the basic config for squid and you should be fine. Season the squid to your own personal tastes and enjoy.

Hi wbg34,
Really thanks a lot for your advise. I will try the out.

Blue,
I've only read webmin documentation as well as squid documentation. Would appreciate if you can provide some other links regarding these topics.
