redhat 9.0 and netscape 7.02

Hello,

I am facing all sorts of problems with netscape 7.02 (the latest version) on red hat 9.0. Most websites causes netscape to hang. And when it hangs, I can't even close it. Only option is to close X.

Just wanted to know if anyone else faced any similar problems.

I even tried uninstalling netscape 7.02 and installed 6.22. Still the same problem. I never had any problems with RedHat 8.0 and netscape 7.0. So I figure this may be an issue with Red Hat 9.0

Your thoughts/suggestions on this would be very much appreciated.

It is probably due to RedHat 9's NPTL (Native POSIX Threading Library) support. It is known to crash certain applications.
