hi! im a linux newbie. i downloadedthe ISO files of redhat 9 then started installing it. everything went fine except for the built-in LAN of my asus a7n8x(standard). its not working. during install it did not even went to installing the network.
i cant go into internet since im using a cable and i need the LAN to work for me to connect.
i've read somewhere that you need the retail version to have the workaround. is this true? or is there another way? i dont want to buy a retail version yet i want to try it first free.
thanks!

oh yeah, o ne more thing i was trying to do a dual boot winxp and red hat 9. the LAN for asus a7n8x is MCP integrated NVIDIA MAC + Realtek 8201BL PHY. i tried visiting the NVIDIA but i have'nt seen exact driver support for this.

I've got the Deluxe edition with 2 NICs. The secondary 3com NIC works like a charm, however can't seem to be able to detect the primary NIC as well. The Asus driver cd had some drivers for linux but they are only for RH7.3. Bummer!
