redhat 7.3 startup problem

After I instaled 7.3 and tried to boot into it. I get this message,
Init: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

and it seems to go on like this forever.
What could be worng ????

Of course its 2 days old but it seems to be going good with others. I downloaded ths iso's like anybody else, burnt them onto a CD, installed and then when I tried to boot I have the problem mentioned above.
The system has only 128M of RAM.

try to tap the letter i repeatedly during boot up, it will bring you into manual service startup, which you can say no to that part, once you got through there, go into Service Configuration and take that out at boot time,

hope it's the right problem of what i just mentioned

Anyways I tried that, but that didnt help.
As a last resort I reformmated and reinstalled the OS with similar results.

I had the same problem. It is a combination of Qt, KDE 3.0 and the video. Change the runlevel to 3 for text and play with the Xconfigurator. Why it does this I have no clue.

I did boot into 3 and treis Xconfigiurator. But after the initial screen when I presed ok to go into the next screen it said "segmentation fault" and terminated the xconfig program.

From where do I get the enitre config in LInux ????
I could post the dmesg or messages, if you want. I will work out later as to how to get it conected later.
