hey
i am running redhat 7.3 with kde3.
i was using kuser to create a new use on the system. it somehow locked out root and now i can't login as root. any ideas what happened and what i can do to reactivate the root account?
thanks :) (-:

hey
i fixed it :)
i started the computer using the boot disk, and changed the password for root in /mnt/sysimage/etc/passwd.
i generated an encrypted password using perl:
perl -e 'print crypt("passwd",11)."\n";'

i still wonder why kuser screwed up my /etc/passwd file...oh well :) (-:
