Hi,

Microsoft ISA Web proxy has been configured to accept connections only through authentication. When I enter my windows domain username and password in Netscape Communicator from Linux RedHat 7.2 desktop, it doesn't authenticate and hence am not able to browse the internet.

Could anyone guide me to find out whether any configuration changes in the ISA are required to allow a non-windows desktop ?

What authentication did you use for your MS ISA web proxy ?
How did you connect your RH 7.2 to MS ISA web Proxy?
I need more information to answer your question.
Thanks.Good Luck

M$ ISA Server uses an authentication scheme that only IE seems to support. If you want to allow your Linux machine through the proxy, you can create a client address set in ISA Management that includes the IP address of your Linux box. Then create an access policy (protocol rule) in ISA that allows the client address set through the proxy without authenticating.
