Hello.

Its me again ;)

Well, i have also antother problem. I have a computer that i run as an mp3 player. Now its redhat 6.2 on it but i will reinstall redhat 7.1 on it. I dont have any monitor on it so everytime i stops the computer before it has shut down correct i have to drag it to my other computer and attach a monitor and a mouse cause the checkdisk has failed? Is there any easy way to get linux to repair it automatically without asking for the root password?

Thanx in advance

/Alexander

Well, that depends on the type of mp3-files you have...;)

To be serious: the automated filesystem-check after a system-crash should run without requiering you to key in the root-password, and should run without a monitor attached.

At which stage the system prompts you for the password? And which password do you use? (NO!, forget that ;-) What error-messages do you get from the check?

Uhh, dont remember. I might make a fake crash later today to check ;)... I think it is that it found some error or duplicated records that has been caused when i turn of the computer with file cache in the memory ;)
