Red Screen On Scanner / Blue Screen On Scanner

I really need your help. I have two scanner devices.

1.Mustek 600CP Flatbed Scanner:
Problem: I always get a red screen as result of scanning.What's that???

2.Trust Imagery 4800SP Flatbed Scanner:
Problem: This is the better one of the two scanners. But if the scanner is cold (e.g. after not beeing used for a while) big parts of the scanned pictures have a blue shine. the warmer the scanner gets the less blue parts are on the scanned pictures but there's always a bit blue left in my pictures.

So please, if anyone knows something that could help me please do so.
