I have a merlin legend v7. All of a sudden, I notice
a red LED light is constantly lit up above the smdr and admin ports. Does anyone know what it is and how can I clear it.
Thanks in advance.

That would be system alarm. Check your Error Log, if from an MLX-20L phone plugged into the Program Port: <Menu> <Maintenance> <System> <Error Log> <Permanent> to see what it is. To clear the alarm LED from this menu just press the <Drop> button. This does not fix the problem, just clears the alarm until next time.

The permanet error says abk extension busy code: 0404.
What does it mean?
How do you clear the alarm using SPM?

I used 20l and dropped the error and the led lite disappeared.
I am curious how to drop it from spm and what the error
mean?

The error code means that you did not have the PCMCIA card in place when the system tried to do an automatic backup. Put in the card, and things will be fine.

Yes, that's right, I did a backup to the file and to the card. There is a card in the slot. I am going to check the
card.
Thank you so very much for your solutions.

Or, a phone was in program mode and the system tried to do a back-up.
