Red Hat for a fee?

I've downloaded various LINUX distros and played with them a little over the years: I'm now scheduled to attend a SANS week long course which requests that we have a dual boot notebook with Red Hat 8 Professional installed.

I find that version 9 is out. Aside from the extra's one might expect in a 'professional' version, I was surprised to find that I could NOT find a free download of the basic OS on Red Hat's site. I was under the impression that Red Hat was required to offer it as a part of the GNU?

I likely missed it... could someone kindly point me toward it?

Many Thanks

Thanks! Tho it seems the site is down for now, it's still good to find it is available.

Pity they couldn't find space to put a link on their web site, or at least some place logical if one does exist and I assume it must else they would be violating the license agreement.

Say: what has the SCO then theories about IBM scarfing up LINUX done to LINUX users/admins?
