Dears,
I am using RED HAT Enterprise server 2.1 on IBM X440 in SAN env. i.e FAST600
when i boot , i get three kernel options:
UP
SMP
Enterprise
When i choose SMP ( there are 4 procesors & 8 GB memory), i am not able to see more than 4GB memory.
When i boot using enterprise kernel , i am able to see whole memory but i am not able to get connected to FAST600.
My questions:
1. What is the main difference between Enterprise & SMP kernel
2. Why SMP kernel not show 8 GB memory.
3. What is the technique to get HBA adapter device drivers to work in Enterprise kernel mode...is this setup supported?
