Am trying to prep computer for installation of Oracle.
Is there a GUI program to change kernel paramaters?

Red Hat comes with GNOME and KDE, but I see nothing under their system tools to change Kernel Parameters.

normally you will find kernel-sources under /usr/src/linux-X.YY.Z
with X.YY.Z being the version.

In this directory you may try 'make xconfig' (kde-qt) or 'make gconfig' (gnome).
I allways prefered the 'make menuconfig' which uses ncurses and is best used from a console-terminal.

Beside reading at least the file 'README', you should look in the directory Documentation for further hints.

Probably the kernel-sources aren't installed by default.

Your current kernel-configuration might be stored at
/boot/.config

This file is hidden by the leading dot.

Make at least a backup of this almost working configuation.

Most of the kernel parameters that need to be set for Oracle are adjustable through the /proc filesystem.
