Greets,
Does anyone know of a way to output the install log from RH EL 4 prior to starting the initial install. The reason I ask is we have a server that is dumping an error during the install. If I switch to tty2 (Ctrl+Alt+F2), I can see the installation messages but I need them in a log file to provide to our support group. The install hasn't gotten to a point where it mounts any volumes so I don't have a way of checking /root for the install log. I would like to mount a USB key first and output the log to the USB key during the install. Is this achieved with syslog or is there a boot option we can pass to the kernel to allow this?
Thanks!!
