using red hat9
i'm getting:

rndc: connect failed

i ping 127.0.0.1 and all is fine.

also getting:
nfs failed


any ideas?
 
What are the commands you run and you get the errors?
Show also the whole errors

I'm guessing he talking about the start-up boot messages. It looks like your trying to start services that aren't installed, or otherwise not working. If you have no shares setup, NFS can fail (the server daemon not the client). If the lock file wasn't cleanly removed last time the computer was shutdown NFS will sometimes fail (server not daemon).

Check what services your running and they are properly installed and configured.
