During the successful install the PS/2 wheel mouse worked fine, but once install completed and rebooted into graphical mode the mouse doesn't work with the pointer toward the middle of the screen - any suggestions

Check your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 to check what the entries listed for your mouse are. It could also be your video card setup being configured incorrectly. If you have your resoltion set to 24-bit, I suggest changing it to 16. I have found that at times this has corrected problems.

Post the contents of your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 up so we can see any possible errors or problems.

Hi,
Sorry for the delay - holidays/work ....

I tried the resolution setting of 16 but that gave the save result.

However I did find a second serial mouse attached to the box
?? (my daughter) which was probably confusing the system so I'll remove it and retry.

Thanks AP81
