Hi guys,
I just installed Red Hat 9 in my computer. I put all my data in a separate hard drive with NTFS partition. I tried to mount it, but a message error appears "Red Hat 9 doesn't support NTFS". Is there any patch or anything I can do to read my data?

Thanks.

YOu can also hack your kernel to support NTFS. It is a painful process to learn kernel hacking, and not all instructions are created equally. Like redhat requires the use of the 'make mrproper' target before building a new kernel, which isn't required by other distributions (unless they are RedHat based).

Do a search for 'linux build kernel' and you will find a lot of references, or look for the kernel HOWTO.

I've never tried the RPM for NTFS support. Maybe I'll download it when sourceforge comes back online (down for maintenance).
