Red Hat 8.0 and Arcserve 9.01

I'm very new to Linux, so please excuse my ignorance.
I just received a new server, Dell PE2600, with Red Hat 8.0 pre-installed, I'm now trying to load Arcserve V9.01, which I'm told is compatible with 8.0. My problem is during the install process of the uagent, it fails after acknowledging the license agreement. The error indicates a problem with the ln command, it can't find the directory or files.

contact Esri, you have to get some kind of the file I forgot to unlock the code or something, other than that it's straight forward
