Red Hat 6.1

Hello,

I have just reinstalled Red Hat 6.1 onto one of my R910 Dell servers and so far so good. My only issue is wondering where I install ftp from???

With Red Hat 5 I ran yum install vsftpd and that got me working with ftp, so I tried this with 6.1 and it installed but still not ftp. So can someone point me in the right direction for getting ftp up and running on 6.1 please?

did you start the vsftpd ftp service?

# chkconfig vsftpd on

# service vsftpd start

or alternatively:
# /etc/init.d/vsftpd start
